Redesigning the Task Creation Flow - Remote user testing platform
Context
Testapic specializes in setting up and analyzing remote user tests. After the release of a new version of the product in May 2018, negative user feedback highlighted major usability issues.
Client objective
Reduce by 70% the number of users abandoning the platform during task creation.
My role
Over 4 weeks, I worked as a UX Designer and researcher alongside two other designers.

Our Process
๐ User Research
Audited the existing interface and benchmarked competitors to extract best practices
Reviewed scientific studies and psychology research to form hypotheses
Conducted user observations and 13 semi-structured interviews
Ran usability test sessions (15 participants) combined with the UMUX questionnaire
Reformulated the problem statement:
โHow can we improve user orientation and help them appropriate the tool to increase productivity?โCreated personas, experience maps, and storyboards to foster empathy

Facilitated a co-creation workshop with clients and users to generate solutions
Activities included: morphological analysis with UX cards, brainstorming, voting, and a six-to-one exercise
Defined how to better support new users in the task creation flow

Conducted a prioritization workshop and defined the information architecture through sketches
Produced wireframes in Figma and low-fidelity prototypes in Axure RP
Iterated designs based on usability feedback

Iterated towards a final version that simplified navigation, improved hierarchy, and provided clear guidance
